| The
Harvard Vision Faculty offers a program of study for postdoctoral
students designed to foster future research and teaching careers
in emerging areas of molecular visual sciences. The trainee
is expected to acquire expertise in current molecular research
techniques and knowledge of outstanding problems in ophthalmology.
Individuals who have recently acquired a doctoral degree (Ph.D.
or M.D.) are invited to carry out full-time research projects
over a period of two to three years and take advantage of
formal and informal coursework offered. Our objective is to
generate strong candidates for academic faculty, research
institute staffs, or research industrial positions in which
breakthroughs in problems of vision may be made.
Please note: This Training Program requires
a minimum of 2 years commitment. Funding is provided for a
single year during which trainees are required to apply for
an NRSA fellowship in order to continue their training and
research. |
