*The Molecular Bases of Diseases
Taught by leading Harvard faculty, both basic scientists and
clinicians, to provide a broad knowledge of ophthalmic diseases,
and the structure, function, and development of the ocular
systems in which they occur. (Participating Harvard Faculty,

*Principles of Grant Writing
This special two-session course tutors the trainees in preparing
National Research Service Award (NRSA) applications. (Patricia
D'Amore and Meredith Gregory-Ksander; given periodically)

Conduct of Research
A three session class which is intended to foster in
postdoctoral fellows a greater appreciation of the growing
complexities of maintaining the highest level of ethical practice
in the pursuit of research. The program is case study based
and will be taught and facilitated by faculty from BWH, MGH
and Schepens. (Schepens Eye Research Institute, May and October)

The Harvard Ophthalmology Retreat
The Harvard Ophthalmology Retreat is a yearly event sponsored
by a different program every year. It features invited talks
by members of the department, a keynote address by an outside
speaker, and a poster session.
